(CLO) On November 15th, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper, in collaboration with the Saigon Business Club (DNSG), held a press conference to announce a writing contest with the theme "Businesspeople and Filial Piety and Family".
The competition aims to honor the important position and role of entrepreneurs in society, not only for their business acumen and contributions to the country's development, but also for their appreciation of family values, especially their parents and loved ones.

Through this competition, the organizers hope to spread the tradition of filial piety within families, loyalty to the country, and good conduct within the community, so that the younger generation can learn and apply them in their own lives, thereby contributing to the development of a cultural foundation of filial piety and building happy families.
Speaking about the competition, journalist Ly Viet Trung - Editor-in-Chief of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper - said that in the life of every entrepreneur, filial piety towards family and loyalty to the country are two values that go hand in hand and support each other. Filial piety is the foundation of morality, motivating entrepreneurs to always remember their roots, appreciate the contributions of their parents, and use love as a guiding principle in all decisions.
From this filial piety, entrepreneurs realize that responsibility extends beyond family to encompass society and the nation. Loyalty to the country is a commitment to dedicating oneself to economic development and improving the quality of life for the community. When entrepreneurs combine these two values, they not only enrich their families but also contribute to building a prosperous, equitable, and sustainable nation.
Journalist Nguyen Tan Phong - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association and Chairman of the Judging Panel - assessed that the Women's Newspaper's choice of the theme "filial piety and family" is extremely meaningful, gentle, and in line with the newspaper's principles. As we all know, businesspeople are soldiers on the economic front, especially in this era, family is the foundation of society and of each individual. For businesspeople or anyone else who achieves professional success, life is incomplete if their family life is not satisfactory. Mr. Phong affirmed that choosing businesspeople as the target group for the theme of filial piety and family is very meaningful.
The organizing committee will begin accepting entries from the competition launch date, November 15, 2024, until May 15, 2025. The awards ceremony is expected to take place on Vietnamese Family Day 2025: June 28, 2025.
