A series of new personnel appointments have been announced at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training following the merger.

Ms. Huynh Le Nhu Trang has been appointed Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.

Specifically, according to the organizational structure of specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and based on the decision on personnel organization for newly established and reorganized departments when streamlining the apparatus, the Department of Education and Training takes over the state management of vocational education from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

Accordingly, Ms. Huynh Le Nhu Trang, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, has been appointed as Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training and officially assumed her duties this morning. Her areas of responsibility will be assigned by the Director of the Department of Education and Training.

Also this morning, the Department of Education and Training announced the decision on the organizational structure of the Department of Education and Training after taking over the state management of vocational education from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and streamlining the apparatus.

Starting from March 1st, according to a decision by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Department of Education and Training will have 10 offices:

1. Office
2. Inspect
3. Personnel Department
4. Financial Planning Department
5. Department of Political and Ideological Affairs
6. Department of Examination and Quality Assurance
7. Preschool Room
8. Department of General Education (formed by merging the Department of Primary Education and the Department of Secondary Education)
9. Department of Continuing Education, Vocational Training and Higher Education
10. Department of Management of Non-Public Educational Institutions

Based on the above decision, the Department of Education and Training announces the appointment and assignment of duties:

• Ms. Lam Hong Lam Thuy, Head of the Primary Education Department, assumes the position of Head of the General Education Department.
  Simultaneously assign tasks:
• Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Head of the Vocational Education Department of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, has been appointed as Deputy Head of the Continuing Education, Vocational and Higher Education Department of the Department of Education and Training.
• Ms. Vu Phuong Loan, Deputy Head of the Vocational Education Department of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, has been appointed as Deputy Head of the Continuing Education, Vocational and Higher Education Department.
• Ms. Lai Bich Tram, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, assumes the position of Deputy Chief of the Office of the Department of Education and Training.
• Mr. Phan Ky Quan Triet, Deputy Head of the Vocational Education Department of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, has been appointed Deputy Head of the Planning and Finance Department of the Department of Education and Training.
