City leaders presented the decision to establish Hue City Media Center and related personnel decisions.

Attending and handing over the decisions were Party Central Committee member, City Party Committee Secretary, People's Council Chairman, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hue City Le Truong Luu; Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Pham Duc Tien; also attending were members of the City Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of the Hue City People's Committee and leaders of a number of relevant agencies and departments; leaders and key officials of the two agencies Hue Today Newspaper and Hue City Radio & Television Station.

At the ceremony, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the City Party Committee Phan Xuan Toan announced the following decisions: Merging Hue Today Newspaper and the City Radio & Television Station into the Hue City Media Center; Appointing Mr. Hoang Dang Khoa, Member of the Standing Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Hue Today Newspaper to the position of Director of the Hue City Media Center; Appointing Mr. Truong Dien Thong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Hue Today Newspaper to the position of Deputy Director of the Hue City Media Center; Appointing Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Nam, Director of Hue City Radio & Television Station to the position of Deputy Director of the Hue City Media Center; Appointing Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong Hue, Deputy Director of Hue City Radio & Television Station to the position of Deputy Director of the Hue City Media Center.

The above decisions take effect from July 1, 2025.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Truong Luu chaired and spoke at the decision-giving ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Truong Luu emphasized that, as a city directly under the Central Government, the role of local press agencies is required to be higher. Therefore, the merger of Hue Today Newspaper and Radio & Television Station is highly expected by the city's leaders to raise the level, the center will increasingly develop to be worthy of the position of a press agency in a city directly under the Central Government.

According to Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Truong Luu, in order to promote the role and be worthy of its position, in the coming time, the collective leadership, cadres, civil servants of the Hue City Media Center need to promote the spirit of solidarity, aiming for a common goal. Continue to improve the quality of human resources. Be more responsive and proactive in information to better perform the role of leading and orienting public opinion. After the merger, it is necessary to evaluate all work and existing press products to adjust, supplement, and innovate in order to have quality products that attract readers and viewers.

Mr. Hoang Dang Khoa, Director of Hue City Media Center, delivered a speech accepting the assignment.

“Immediately after the merger announcement ceremony, the center's leaders need to get to work immediately, quickly perfecting the apparatus so that by July 1, 2025, when the decision takes effect, it can operate smoothly. Develop operating regulations, assign tasks and tasks to ensure strictness and compliance with regulations. At the same time, continue to arrange and streamline the apparatus after the merger. Proactively coordinate with relevant agencies to rebuild the financial mechanism and develop an autonomy plan for the center,” Secretary Le Truong Luu assigned the task.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Hue City Media Center, Mr. Hoang Dang Khoa pledged that the collective leadership, staff, and civil servants of the center will make every effort to build internal solidarity; ensure objectivity and democracy in work management. Continue to improve and enhance quality to perform well the role of leading and determining public opinion; aim to be the center connecting press agencies in the city. With the new operating model, the center hopes to continue to receive attention and support from the Secretary of the City Party Committee, the Standing Committee, and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee in the coming time.
