Announcement of the Decision to Establish the Dong Nai City Police Department

(Chinhphu.vn) - On May 18th, at the headquarters of the Dong Nai City Police Department, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Minister of Public Security on the establishment of the Dong Nai City Police Department. General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Public Security, presided over the ceremony.

At the ceremony, a representative from the Ministry of Public Security announced the decision of the Minister of Public Security to establish the Dong Nai City Police and its subordinate units, maintaining the organizational structure of the Dong Nai Provincial Police and the police units, communes, and wards of the province, while changing the name from Dong Nai Provincial Police to Dong Nai City Police.

Delivering a keynote address at the ceremony, General Luong Tam Quang emphasized that over the years, under the absolute and direct leadership of the Party, and regularly under the Central Party Committee of the Public Security Ministry, the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee (now the Dong Nai City Party Committee), and the Dong Nai Provincial Police (now the Dong Nai City Police), the Dong Nai Provincial Police have excellently fulfilled their nhiệm vụ of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety in the area, creating a favorable environment to effectively serve the socio-economic development and foreign relations of the locality.

The comrades have grasped the situation firmly, promptly reported and advised the Party committee and government to issue many policies and solutions to ensure security and order, build the people's police force, remove "obstacles" and "bottlenecks," and promote socio-economic development while ensuring national defense and security.

To fulfill the glorious responsibilities in the new revolutionary period, the Minister of Public Security suggested that the Party Committee of the Dong Nai City Public Security Department should unify its understanding of the challenges and requirements, and the tasks of protecting security and order in the new situation. From there, they should unify their determination, actions, methods, and steps to overcome challenges and successfully complete all tasks.

The Minister also requested the Dong Nai City Police, with renewed enthusiasm and determination, to effectively implement Resolution No. 02 of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security Ministry on personnel work, Resolution No. 03 on building strong and modern commune police forces, and the "Three Best" emulation movement, with a specific roadmap to strive to be the leading local police force nationwide, achieving this goal early and completing it no later than 2028.

Speaking in response to the directives at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Duc Hai, Director of the Dong Nai City Police, clearly stated that the establishment of the Dong Nai City Police is not only an event regarding organizational structure, but also a call to action regarding the responsibility, honor, and courage of the city's police force in the face of new development requirements.

The Dong Nai City Police Department has determined that it must take a proactive approach in understanding, forecasting, preventing, and resolving security and order risks; promoting administrative reform, digital transformation, applying science and technology, and innovation as breakthroughs to enhance its advisory, command, and operational capabilities; and using the peace and happiness of the people, the safety of businesses and investors, and a stable development environment as the measure of its work effectiveness.

The city's police chief stated that the city's police force will immediately concretize the Minister's directives into specific programs, plans, and tasks, ensuring clarity of personnel, responsibilities, timelines, progress, and expected results.
