Gratitude, remembrance and learning history
During the recent trip, our group had the opportunity to return to the “red addresses” – places that marked the heroic history of the nation. This was not only a sightseeing trip, but also a journey for each person to calm down, feel more deeply about the past and appreciate the value of peace and independence today. At the first destination, the group went to offer incense to commemorate General Vo Nguyen Giap at Vung Chua – Yen Island at the foot of the windy Ngang Pass; the group continued to visit and learn about the world natural heritage and many historical relics associated with the resistance war against the US.
- Hang Tam Co - the story of 8 young volunteers (4 men, 4 women) is heavy with memories, reminding us of our twenties given back to the Fatherland.
- Vinh Moc - Vinh Linh tunnels, a resilient tunnel village system with the spirit of "not leaving an inch, not leaving a millimeter", demonstrates the indomitable will of the army and people of the land of steel.
- Quang Tri Citadel , a special national relic - the place associated with the 81-day and night battle in the fiery summer of 1972, a symbol of sacrifice, patriotism and the desire for peace.
- Hien Luong Bridge - Ben Hai River, 17th Parallel, historical evidence marking the pain of the period when the country was divided, is also a symbol of the aspiration for national reunification.
These destinations of great historical value help the members of the delegation understand and appreciate the sacrifices of previous generations, while fostering national pride and a sense of responsibility to the Fatherland.
Spread love through social security activities
Along with the gratitude journey, the delegation organized activities to visit and give gifts to disadvantaged households in An Du Nam 2 Quarter, Cua Tung Town, Vinh Linh District (now Cua Tung Commune, Quang Tri Province). This is an annual activity of PV Shipyard Trade Union, demonstrating the spirit of “mutual love”, social responsibility and sharing of PV Shipyard collective.
Connecting Past – Present – Future
The “return to the source” business trip combined with social security activities is not only an opportunity for PV Shipyard’s union members to pay tribute to history, but also a journey to unite the collective spirit, arouse social responsibility and awareness of community building. It is not just a trip — it is a vivid lesson about patriotism, national pride and solidarity with fellow countrymen.
With its practical values, the program has left many deep emotions, contributing to spreading pride, solidarity, and aspiration to contribute to the development of the country.
