Gia Lai grants 255 export growing area codes to China

(GLO)- At the conference to review the work of the first 9 months of 2025 and deploy key tasks for the last 3 months of 2025, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection (Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Lai province) said that the whole province has granted 255 export growing area codes to the Chinese market with more than 10,200 hectares.

In addition, the whole province was also granted 40 packaging facility codes with a total packaging capacity of 1,650-1,800 tons of fresh fruit/day, mainly exporting fruit to markets in China, Australia, Japan, Korea, the United States...

Mr. Kieu Van Cang, Deputy Head of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, added that the province's agricultural production continued to achieve many positive results. The rice growing area reached more than 170,400 hectares, an increase of more than 3,600 hectares over the same period last year; corn reached more than 43,900 hectares, also recording a slight increase. Some annual crops such as cassava, sweet potatoes, peanuts, beans, sesame... all had an increase in area compared to the same period in 2024.
