Ever since I was a child, I have heard my grandmother and mother talk about Uncle Ho with deep pride. The image of Uncle Ho, simple, close, and devoted his whole life to the country and the people, has become a silent flame that illuminates me during the years away from my homeland, especially when living and working in Japan”.
According to Ms. Le Thuong, during her many years living in Japan, she felt the respect of the Japanese people for President Ho Chi Minh - as a symbol of wisdom, compassion and aspiration for peace. Many Japanese friends when visiting the "Vietnam-Ho Chi Minh Space" or hearing about Uncle Ho's life expressed their deep admiration. "I believe that this sentiment is the glue that strengthens the Vietnam-Japan friendship that we - Vietnamese people in Kansai - are cultivating every day through small but practical actions," said Ms. Le Thuong.
