Highly skilled power plant workers are passionate about donating blood.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Tri, a worker at the Ha Tinh City Power Company, not only strives to apply information technology to improve customer service but also actively participates in blood donation to save lives.

The 9th "EVN Pink Week," with the message "Thousands of hearts, one spirit," organized by Ha Tinh Power Company, marked the 15th time that Mr. Nguyen Manh Tri (born in 1985), a worker in the Business Service Team of Ha Tinh City Power Company, participated in blood donation.

Mr. Tri shared: “With the motto 'one drop of blood given – one life saved,' every time the trade union and youth union of Ha Tinh Power Company launch a blood donation campaign, I enthusiastically participate. Seeing my blood being donated, contributing to saving patients' lives, makes me very happy. I only hope to have good health so that I can continue to participate in blood donation programs of the industry and the locality, contributing to spreading love and the beautiful culture of EVN people to the community.”

Recalling his first time donating blood, Mr. Tri shared: "At that time, I was a student at the Northern Power College. I was nervous, anxious, and somewhat scared. Afterward, every time I visited relatives in the hospital and witnessed many patients teetering on the brink of death, needing timely blood transfusions to ensure their survival, it gave me the strength to donate blood. I realized that donating blood is not just a health check for myself, but also a noble act of sharing the burden and providing a lifeline for patients. From then on, I actively participated in humanitarian blood donation programs. Whenever patients needed me, or the hospital called, I was always ready to be there promptly."

With his proactive spirit in humanitarian blood donation, Mr. Nguyen Manh Tri has received numerous commendations from Ha Tinh Power Company and Northern Power Corporation.

Not only does he actively participate in volunteer and humanitarian movements, but he also strives to learn, constantly improving his professional skills and contributing to enhancing customer service.

After graduating from the Northern Power College in 2012, Mr. Nguyen Manh Tri was hired to work at Ky Anh Power Company. The Ky Anh power grid spans diverse terrains, requiring high levels of effort from each employee in management and operation. Working in the Business Department, Mr. Tri, along with his colleagues, proactively implemented solutions for managing the electricity metering system, contributing to improved customer service. In addition, he spent six years supervising and inspecting the power grid.

“Back then, at Ky Anh Power Company, especially in rural areas, customer awareness was low, so electricity fraud was common, causing energy losses and high safety risks. With the support of the Ky Anh Power Company's Board of Directors and my colleagues, I made efforts to monitor the grid, track abnormal readings, detect and prevent electricity theft. At the same time, we intensified propaganda and encouraged people to raise their awareness of electricity usage, so the rate of electricity theft decreased significantly,” Mr. Tri said.

In 2023, Mr. Nguyen Manh Tri transferred to Ha Tinh City Power Company. As an area with a large number of electricity customers, the city's power company focuses heavily on modernizing electricity metering, promoting the application of technology, and using remote electronic meters to improve accuracy in electricity metering. Here, Mr. Tri was assigned to manage the remote metering technology system from public and dedicated transformer substations. In this position, he is always proactive in his work, constantly learning and improving his IT skills to apply to electricity metering management, power grid operation management, and improving customer satisfaction.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Tri always upholds the spirit of learning and constantly strives to improve his professional skills and expertise.
