For Mr. Vuong Thanh Lam, a worker at Sumidenso Vietnam Co., Ltd., singing is his daily joy. He's known as the "artistic talent" at his company because he participates in every cultural and artistic event organized by the union or the company. With his expressive voice, he has participated in the "Searching for Young Workers' Talents" competition organized by the Center for Supporting Young Workers (Provincial Youth Union) for three consecutive years. In 2022, he won second prize with the song "The Homeland Calls My Name." In 2023, he won first prize with the song "Motherland." Mr. Lam said: "Every time I perform, I feel very happy. This year I'm registering to participate in the search for young workers' talents competition again, and it's also the fourth year I've tried my luck on this stage."

Mr. Lam has been a member of the Hai Duong Traditional Folk and Lyrical Music Club for many years. Before each competition, he practices with the club members and receives thorough guidance and corrections. Therefore, although not a professional singer, he has gradually pursued and expressed his burning passion.

Having participated in the "Young Workers' Talent Search" competition for three consecutive years, Ms. Le Thi Minh Thu, who works at Hyundai Kefico Vietnam Co., Ltd., has become an amateur singer with a very beautiful voice. Her husband, who also loves singing, strongly supports her hobby. Despite the time spent practicing and the expense of renting performance costumes and hiring backup dancers, her love of singing has helped her overcome all obstacles. "This year, my love for performing arts has spread to everyone in the company, so many people have joined the young workers' talent search competition," Ms. Thu said.

Each year, nearly 100 workers register to participate in the "Searching for Young Worker and Laborer Talents" competition. 2024 marks the sixth year that the Center for Supporting Young Workers and Laborers has organized this program to enhance the cultural and spiritual lives of workers and laborers, creating a beneficial playground for them. On this stage, they set aside their daily hardships to shine as talented artists.

For those who love singing, singing helps them relieve work stress, making life happier and more relaxed. Whether on his way to work or doing something alone, Mr. Lam always sings a few lines, not just out of habit, but because he always feels more optimistic and loving towards life and people after each song.

Every year, most grassroots trade unions organize cultural and artistic activities, which also help to discover promising talents and provide support for them to participate in provincial-level competitions. Mr. Doan Quang Huan, Head of the Culture and Sports Committee of the Sumidenso Vietnam Co., Ltd. Trade Union, said that the trade union always creates opportunities for workers to participate in cultural and artistic activities and showcase their talents. "That's the best way to reduce stress for workers in their work and lives," Mr. Huan said.

Dang Thanh Duyen, a talented singer at Tinh Loi Garment Co., Ltd., said that many people used to be shy about performing on stage, but now they are very enthusiastic when there are cultural programs organized by the company and the higher-level trade union. Singing helps people get closer, understand each other better, and become more united.

According to Mr. Vu Dinh Dung, Deputy Director in charge of the Provincial Center for Supporting Young Workers and Laborers, this year the programs "Searching for Talents of Young Workers and Laborers" and "The Beauty of Young Workers and Laborers" are expected to be held at the end of March. This activity aims to bring together workers in non-state enterprises and non-public service units, while also honoring the talents and singing abilities of workers.

When employees are allowed to freely pursue their passion for singing, their spiritual lives are enhanced, and they will also dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their work, creating positive values for the business and building harmonious and stable labor relations.
