The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Dong Thap province the responsibility to announce and reward according to regulations; and directed the People's Committee of Chau Thanh district to continue maintaining and improving the quality of the criteria, focusing on production and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in building new rural areas.
* In Chau Thanh district, all 11 communes have achieved the new rural standard, and 3 out of 11 communes have achieved the advanced new rural standard, including: Tan Nhuan Dong commune (achieved in 2021), An Nhon commune (achieved in 2022), and Tan Binh commune (achieved in 2023).
According to Phan Thanh Dung, Vice Chairman of the Chau Thanh District People's Committee, the district continues to develop a plan for concentrated fruit production areas, linked with promoting the transfer of scientific and technical advancements into production, especially the application of digital transformation in product traceability. Along with this, the district will review the agricultural infrastructure system; implement policies to support farmers in developing their economy ; promote the consumption of agricultural products on e-commerce platforms; attract businesses to link with growing areas, gradually improving the economic efficiency of Chau Thanh's agricultural products...
