Leaders of Makalot Vietnam Co., Ltd. and the trade union visited and presented financial support, donated by the company's management and workers, to the family of Ms. Cao Thi The.

"Those with less torn leaves should help those with more torn leaves."

Mr. and Mrs. Pham Quang Huy, originally from Hung Yen province, work at a company in the Trang Due industrial park. Working far from home, and to save money to support their young children back home, they rent a small room of less than 10 square meters. Every day, besides meals at the company, the couple cooks simple, economical meals. Despite these difficulties, recently, when the Vietnam Red Cross launched a program to support the people of Cuba, Mr. and Mrs. Huy didn't hesitate to open their phones and use the app to transfer a relatively large sum of money, compared to their daily income.

“As fellow workers, my wife and I understand the difficulties others face. I believe that since we don't have much, we should share with the spirit of 'those with less help those with more.' Not just this time, but throughout our lives, my wife and I have always supported and helped colleagues in need whenever the company's labor union initiates such initiatives,” Huy expressed.

Recently, many grassroots trade unions in enterprises in the area have launched fundraising activities to support workers facing difficult circumstances, illness, or misfortune. Specifically, at companies such as Tinh Loi Garment Co., Ltd., Makalot Vietnam, Nissei Technology Vietnam, and Continuance Footwear Vietnam… Each fundraising campaign has received significant support from the workforce.

For example, Ms. Cao Thi The, a worker at Makalot Vietnam Garment Co., Ltd. (Ha Tay commune), experienced a major tragedy at the end of July 2025. Her entire family was involved in a serious traffic accident and all required emergency hospitalization. Tragically, her eldest daughter did not survive. In this difficult situation, the company's labor union sent a letter appealing for support from the management, the labor union, and all employees.

In response to that call, the majority of employees in the company shared their support, demonstrating a spirit of "mutual assistance." As a result, the company's labor union mobilized over 150 million VND to support Ms. Cao Thi The. This timely care and support helped Ms. The's family alleviate their pain and provided a great source of moral support, enabling them to overcome the tragedy and stabilize their lives.

Members of the Golden Star Heart Charity Club present gifts to children in mountainous regions.

Continue the journey of compassion.

The Golden Star Heart Charity Club is a unique charity club in Hai Phong city, founded by workers of Tinh Loi Garment Co., Ltd., and has maintained a long-lasting philanthropic journey. In 2017, Mr. Hoang Tung and several other workers from the company founded the club. Initially, they mainly focused on raising funds to support struggling workers within the company. Later, the club expanded its activities to include donating gifts to the poor during Tet (Lunar New Year) and to children in mountainous areas.

To date, the Golden Star Heart Charity Club has organized five "Lighting Up Dreams" charity programs, donating gifts to schools and children in mountainous areas of Ha Giang , Dien Bien, and Lai Chau provinces. According to Mr. Hoang Tung, the club's chairman, each program successfully solicited and collected many essential items to donate to schools and students. The total value of the five charity programs amounts to approximately 373 million VND.

Not only the Golden Star Heart Charity Club of Tinh Loi Garment Co., Ltd. workers, but also other businesses, the movement of workers helping each other overcome difficulties and misfortunes in life deserves praise and should be replicated. Mr. Do Van Sanh, Head of the Women's Affairs Propaganda Department (Hai Phong City Federation of Labor), informed that in recent times, many grassroots trade unions in Hai Phong have regularly maintained activities to support workers in difficult circumstances, those who are sick, or who have suffered unexpected accidents. This activity has received positive contributions from union members and workers in businesses and units with the spirit of "mutual support and compassion".

It is evident that, despite their limited income and difficult lives, these workers do not wait until they are well-off to give back, but are always willing to share and help those less fortunate with all their compassion. These actions, though quiet and simple, carry profound humanistic value, contributing to spreading love and strengthening community bonds.
