Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company celebrates its 65th anniversary

On the afternoon of August 1, Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company held a meeting to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Company's establishment on August 1 (1960-2025). This is an opportunity for generations of staff and workers to review the glorious journey and express gratitude for the great contributions to the development of the Company.

Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company received the Emulation Flag for excellently leading the emulation movement in 2024 from the Provincial People's Committee and a Certificate of Merit from TKV Group.

On August 1, 1960, implementing the Party and State's policy on developing the coal mining industry to serve the cause of national construction and defense, Ha Lam Coal Mine - the predecessor of today's Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company was officially established.

After 65 years of construction and growth, from a unit facing bombs and bullets of war, once the focus of US air strikes, Ha Lam Coal has continuously grown, maintaining the tradition of "Discipline and Unity", becoming a pioneer in the Group in modernizing mines, applying mechanization, automation and comprehensive digital transformation in production and operation.

In particular, since 2009, the Company has implemented a large-scale investment project to exploit the part below the -50 level, using vertical wells up to -300m deep, the deepest level in the industry at that time. By 2017, the Company had reached a design capacity of 2.4 million tons of coal/year, stably operating a modern mining system, contributing to improving productivity, ensuring safety and reducing production costs.

In the period of 2025-2030, Ha Lam Coal is determined to continue to develop in a stable - modern - sustainable direction. The company aims to complete all legal and technical procedures to expand mining below -300m, maintain stable output of 2.4 million tons/year; build a 15-storey dormitory with 377 apartments in Ha Lam ward to improve the lives and accommodation of workers. At the same time, invest in completing the internal infrastructure system, improving the working environment, income and welfare policies.

Leaders of Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company commended collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation campaign to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Company's founding.

On this occasion, Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company was honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province for being an excellent unit leading the emulation movement in 2024; the Group awarded a Certificate of Merit in recognition of its outstanding contributions to the Group's construction and development. Many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the unit were also commended and rewarded.
