With Apple Intelligence, users can use Writing Tools to compose text, get creative with images using Image Playground, or create custom AI-generated emojis with Genmoji.
However, strangely, all of these features seem to be no longer available in the social networking giant Meta's apps. Specifically, according to PhoneArena 's discovery, many of Apple's Intelligence features, which help users write, edit, and check spelling, have quietly disappeared from all of Meta's apps, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads.
Normally, iPhone and iPad users can access the writing tool by tapping on a text field. However, that's not currently happening inside Meta's iOS apps.
Additionally, users will no longer be able to create or share Genmoji, Apple's AI-generated custom emoji feature. Additionally, Meta has removed the ability to add keyboard stickers and Memoji to Instagram Stories.
There's no official explanation at this point, but PhoneArena suggests that this isn't a coincidence. Meta could be directing users to Meta AI, which is already integrated into all of the social network's apps and offers similar features like text editing or image creation.
The move isn’t too surprising given the history between Meta and Apple, where the two companies have clashed repeatedly over App Store policies. It’s worth noting that Meta’s Llama AI model was in talks to be added to Apple Intelligence, but the deal fell through due to Apple’s security concerns.
