With Apple Intelligence, users can use Writing Tools to compose text, get creative with images using Image Playground, or create custom AI-generated emojis with Genmoji.
However, strangely, all of these features seem to have disappeared from the social media giant Meta's applications. Specifically, according to PhoneArena 's findings, many features of Apple Intelligence, which help users write, edit, and check for spelling errors, have quietly vanished from all of Meta's applications, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads.
Normally, iPhone and iPad users can access the writing tool by tapping on a text field. However, that is not currently the case within Meta's iOS apps.
In addition, users can no longer create or share Genmoji, Apple's AI-generated custom emoji feature. Furthermore, Meta has removed the ability to add keyboard stickers and Memoji to Instagram Stories.
There is currently no official explanation, but PhoneArena suggests this is not a coincidence. Meta may be directing users to Meta AI, which is already integrated into all of the social network's apps and offers similar features such as text editing or image creation.
This move isn't entirely surprising considering the history between Meta and Apple, as the two companies have clashed numerous times over App Store policies. It's worth noting that Meta's Llama AI model was previously negotiated for inclusion in Apple Intelligence, but the deal fell through due to Apple's security concerns.
