(PLVN) - Sam Son Water Park, part of the Sun World Sam Son entertainment complex ( Thanh Hoa ), an outdoor amusement park complex with one of the largest investment scales and areas in the North Central region, has officially opened and is welcoming visitors.

Yesterday afternoon (June 30th), Sam Son Water Park officially opened its doors to visitors in Sam Son City. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Do Trong Hung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Mr. Do Minh Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa Province, along with provincial leaders and representatives from various departments, agencies, districts, cities, and towns.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Thi - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province - affirmed: "With the launch of Sam Son Water Park, an outdoor entertainment complex with the largest investment scale and area in the North, where tourists can experience the first thrilling water slide in Asia, and exciting, fun games suitable for all ages... Sam Son tourism in particular and Thanh Hoa tourism in general have gained a new, impressive, and high-class tourism product, an attractive destination that helps extend the length of stay of tourists, creating momentum for faster and stronger breakthroughs for Thanh Hoa tourism."

Mr. Nguyen Van Thi expressed his hope that this would also be an impressive start for the series of projects at the Sun World Sam Son entertainment complex of Sun Group, which are continuing to be invested in, and will soon be completed and put into operation.

The leaders of Thanh Hoa province believe that the success of Sun Group's resort and entertainment projects in Thanh Hoa province will be a significant boost in effectively exploiting the value of resources to create world-class tourism products; making a strong impression, shaping the brand, elevating the position, and promoting breakthrough growth in Thanh Hoa tourism.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 PM that same day, the weather in Sam Son was hot and sunny, and thousands of people flocked to the water park to have fun and cool off. According to information from the project's investor, within just 30 minutes of opening, the Sam Son water park had welcomed approximately 3,000 people.

As the afternoon progressed, the number of people increased steadily, reaching approximately 4,000. The ticket purchasing and checking areas were constantly crowded with tourists queuing.

Sun World Sam Son, an outdoor entertainment complex, is strategically located just 1.5km from Sam Son beach. It boasts a water park and theme park covering a total area of over 33.5 hectares, making it one of the largest outdoor parks in Northern Vietnam in terms of investment and size.

In its initial launch phase, Sun World Sam Son opened its water park, showcasing 9 out of 14 water game complexes. At Sam Son Water Park, the games are divided into three main zones: Zone 1 includes games for everyone, such as the tsunami bay and the whirlpool; Zone 2 is dedicated to children and families, featuring attractions like the whimsical childhood harbor, the legendary Do River, and the monster-conquering adventure; and Zone 3 offers thrilling rides that provide extreme challenges, such as the catfish waterfall and the shark jaws.
