Sharing the same concern, voter Le Van Hoa (Thanh An commune) suggested that Ho Chi Minh City invest in a water supply system for the island commune, especially a plan to bring water pipelines from the mainland so that people have a long-term source of water for daily use.

Representatives from the Can Gio Water Supply Enterprise stated that water demand in the area has increased by approximately 250% compared to the same period last year.
