Voters on Hon Khoai Island cast early ballots.

On the morning of March 13th, at polling station number 4 in the Hon Khoai island cluster (Dat Mui commune, Ca Mau province), 292 voters, including Border Guard forces, radar station personnel, lighthouse keepers, forest rangers, and workers constructing key national projects on the island, participated in the voting process in an atmosphere of excitement.

This is the only area in Ca Mau province that holds elections at two levels, including National Assembly representatives and Provincial People's Council representatives. The organization of the elections was carried out meticulously, in accordance with regulations, ensuring solemnity and safety.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Thanh Su, Political Officer of Hon Khoai Border Guard Station, said that the unit has fully prepared combat readiness plans, coordinating with other forces to ensure security and order, and maintaining absolute safety at the polling station. Functional forces have also proactively reviewed residency records and closely managed the population in coastal areas and ports; at the same time, they have inspected fire prevention and control measures, as well as the electricity and water systems at polling stations.

Thanks to the thorough preparation of the local authorities and relevant forces, the early voting day on Hon Khoai and Hon Chuoi islands took place safely and in accordance with regulations, demonstrating the sense of responsibility of voters in these remote islands towards this important national event.

To facilitate the participation of fishermen currently fishing at sea in exercising their rights and fulfilling their civic duties, local authorities allow them to arrive on the island 24 hours in advance to register and vote if they are unable to return to the mainland in time.

After completion, the ballot boxes on the two islands were securely sealed and transported to the mainland before March 15th, ensuring the election process and schedule were followed correctly.
