On the afternoon of December 6, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front To Thi Bich Chau and the National Assembly Delegation - Unit No. 8 had a meeting with voters of District 6, Ho Chi Minh City after the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly .

On behalf of the National Assembly Delegation - Unit No. 8, delegate Truong Trong Nghia, member of the National Assembly's Judicial Committee, summarized some important results at the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly. Notably, the National Assembly approved the investment policy for the North-South high-speed railway project and set the deadline for completing Long Thanh International Airport by the end of 2026.

At the 8th session, the National Assembly also passed a Resolution to establish Hue City under the Central Government, effective from January 1, 2025, opening a new phase for the development of the ancient capital of Hue. In addition, the National Assembly voted to pass many laws and Resolutions, and gave its first opinions on 10 other draft laws.

These are all draft laws and resolutions that have received special attention from voters and meet the common expectations of all classes of people.

Delighted with the results achieved at the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly, many voters in District 6, Ho Chi Minh City expressed their confidence and high expectations in the role and responsibility of the National Assembly in making major decisions to develop the country.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Truong Van Ut, a voter from Ward 12, District 6, thanked the National Assembly Delegation - Unit No. 8 and the District 6 government for their attention to resolving part of the petition related to the family's property will at the Voter Contact Conference of the National Assembly Delegation - Unit No. 8 held in June 2024.

Through the Contact Conference, voter Giang Hong Doanh, voters of Ward 12, District 6 sent their thoughts to the 3 Ministries of Transport , Industry and Trade and Finance regarding the issue of managing gasoline prices. Because, currently the difficult economic situation, rising prices, inflation,... are having a significant impact on the lives of people and businesses. Voters believe that it is necessary to have support to stabilize prices and limit intervention to increase gasoline prices during this period.

Voter Pham Van Phi (residing in Ward 10, District 6) expressed concern about the harmful effects of cigarette smoke in public places on the health of the community, but there is currently no law to strictly handle it. According to this voter, just propaganda and mobilization is not enough, there needs to be sufficient sanctions to limit these "health hazards".

"A very small problem is the situation of letting dogs run free, defecating in public places, causing environmental pollution and losing the urban beauty. However, for many years, all citizens have been upset, but why don't we have sanctions to handle it seriously, to create deterrence?" voter Phi expressed his indignation.

On behalf of the National Assembly Delegation - Unit No. 8, delegate Truong Trong Nghia, member of the National Assembly's Judicial Committee, spoke to receive voters' opinions. In particular, he acknowledged the results and efforts in proactively resolving some voters' opinions at the previous meeting of District 6 authorities within the scope of their authority.

Delegate Truong Trong Nghia also thanked voters of District 6 for their concern for practical public issues, such as: environmental protection; controlling smoking that affects public health; stabilizing gasoline prices; protecting urban aesthetics;...

For voters' petitions related to major issues of the city and the country, the National Assembly Delegation - Unit No. 8 will forward them to the National Assembly and relevant authorities for attention and resolution for voters and people.
