On the morning of August 22nd, regarding the "Towards the National Flag" communication campaign for National Day on September 2nd, Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, General Director of Schannel Advertising and Communication Services, stated: To celebrate the 79th anniversary of National Day (September 2nd, 1945 - September 2nd, 2024), the unit has collaborated with the Department of External Information (Ministry of Information and Communications); the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union ; and TikTok Vietnam to carry out the event.
The campaign's message is: Wherever you are, on September 2nd, let's turn our attention to the national flag with the hashtags: #nationalday #happyvietnam2024 #aspirationforstrength #schannel0209. The main activities are: Simultaneously, over 50 of the largest LED screens at buildings and intersections in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will display the national flag on September 2nd – painting the streets red with pride. The image of the national flag will remain constant from 5 AM to 6 AM on September 2nd, 2024. After 6 AM, the national flag screen will appear intermittently throughout the day (expected: every 6-8 minutes). A key video will be broadcast: "Towards the National Flag," featuring Schannel and its youth union members simultaneously performing the flag-raising ceremony at numerous LED screen locations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The campaign aims to spread beautiful images of the Vietnamese national flag across social media, featuring Vietnamese people from all over the country and abroad, through viral TikTok trends. The campaign hopes to achieve 100 million views and interactions across all platforms. Accordingly, Schannel's system of 60 multi-platform channels will participate throughout the campaign. On September 1st, Schannel shared the locations where LED screens would change to display the national flag on September 2nd. Schannel also encouraged viewers to capture and post moments with the national flag, as well as OOH (outdoor advertising) locations featuring the national flag. Schannel's KOLs (influential figures in specific fields) will also take the lead in sharing images at OOH locations and encouraging viewers to participate.
