On September 6th, in Hanoi , General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong , Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith held a high-level meeting between Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, according to VNA news agency.
This is a significant event aimed at further consolidating and strengthening relations between the three Parties and peoples of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, in the context of the continuing complex developments in the world and the region, and as all three Parties and countries enter a new stage of development.
During the meeting, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Chairman of the CPP Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Thongloun Sisoulith informed each other about the situation of each Party and country, especially regarding Party building and socio-economic development; exchanged views on recent emerging global and regional situations and issues of mutual interest; and assessed the results of cooperation between the three Parties and three countries in the past period.

The leaders of the three parties agreed on major directions for cooperation between the three parties and three countries in various fields for the common benefit of the people of the three countries in the coming period.
The three leaders congratulated the three countries on their significant and comprehensive achievements, expressing their pleasure and appreciation for the increasingly deep and broad development of cooperation between the three Parties and peoples across various fields. In particular, political relations continued to be strengthened, defense and security cooperation was effectively promoted, and economic, cultural, scientific, educational, and technical cooperation saw positive progress.
The three leaders of the three Parties continued to emphasize that the historical tradition of solidarity, close ties, and mutual assistance among the three Parties and the people of the three countries is a precious asset, one of the most important factors and the greatest source of strength for the cause of national liberation and independence in the past, as well as in the current work of protecting and building the country of each Party and each country; at the same time, they affirmed that they will continue to propagate and educate the people of the three countries, especially the younger generation, to preserve and cultivate the good relationship between Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Chairman of the CPP Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Thongloun Sisoulith agreed that, in the current context, the three Parties and three countries need to strengthen solidarity, coordinate closely, support each other, and continue to consider the relationship between the three Parties as the core and guiding principle for the overall relationship between the three countries; consolidate the pillar of defense and security, strengthen cooperation in foreign affairs; create breakthroughs in economic cooperation, strengthen cooperation in culture, education, science and technology, tourism, and agriculture; and further promote cooperative relations between Party and State agencies, the Front, people's organizations, and localities of the three countries, based on leveraging the potential and strengths of each country.
The three sides agreed to continue to effectively utilize existing mechanisms and to explore the establishment of new cooperation mechanisms to strengthen cooperative relations between the three Parties and three countries for the benefit of the people of the three countries, and for peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
