The first meeting of the Vietnam-Cambodia Expert Group on the draft Agreement on land border gate management

Vietnam and Cambodia directly exchanged draft agreements to create a solid legal framework for land border gate management.

On June 23-24, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, the first meeting of the Vietnam-Cambodia Expert Group on the draft Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia on land border gate management took place.

The Vietnamese delegation was led by Mr. Trinh Duc Hai, Chairman of the National Border Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Cambodian delegation was led by Mr. Suos Prathna, Director General of the General Department of Administration, Ministry of Home Affairs . The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and branches of both Vietnam and Cambodia.

The meeting took place on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic relations (June 24, 1967 - June 24, 2025).

In the context of the increasingly sustainable development of political and economic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia and many positive steps forward, the two sides directly exchanging the above draft Agreement clearly demonstrates the joint efforts to create a solid legal framework for the construction, development and management of land border gates, contributing to strongly promoting trade, economic and tourism exchanges between the two countries.
