"English Books" Drawing Contest: Reflect on the Lesson

The "English Books - A Colorful Picture" drawing contest, organized by Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (Phuong Nam Education), officially began accepting entries on September 16, 2024. This is an opportunity for students of all levels to be creative and showcase their artistic talents.

Representing Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, Ms. Bui Thu Giang, Deputy General Director of the company, shared: with the desire to bring a different perspective on English textbooks through the feelings of students, the drawing contest " English Books - A Colorful Picture " was organized by the company in the following provinces/cities: An Giang, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Bac Lieu, Ben Tre, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan, Ca Mau, Can Tho, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Hau Giang, Khanh Hoa, Kien Giang, Lam Dong, Long An, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Soc Trang, Tay Ninh, Tien Giang, Tra Vinh , Vinh Long and Ho Chi Minh City.

The competition is organized with an "open" theme based on lessons and topics found in English textbooks published by the Vietnam Education Publishing House (English Global Success, English Family And Friends National Edition, English Friends Plus, and English Friends Global) to encourage and motivate students to participate and unleash their imagination by redrawing the learning topics from each student's perspective/feeling.

These books not only provide students with new knowledge and information but also offer them different perspectives on the world around them (family, friends, school, career, future...). Each page is interwoven with themes and lessons, each containing a unique message that teaches students about patriotism, Vietnamese and world culture, and even the art of social interaction…

Each entry is a story told, a lesson depicted through drawings. Some children excitedly shared lessons they learned from their English textbooks, perhaps about future careers or a more modern and beautiful world; while others vividly sketched a whole world of emotions after each lesson…

Each picture will offer viewers an interesting perspective on how students absorb knowledge from English textbooks.

The competition will take place over one month, from September 16th to October 16th, 2024. The announcement and awarding of prizes are expected to be completed in December 2024.

To ensure fairness for all participating students, the organizers divided the competition into two categories: Elementary School (for students in grades 1-5) and Secondary School (for students in grades 6-12).

The total prize money for the competition is 54 million VND, with 32 prizes divided equally between 2 categories (Primary School/Secondary School), including: 1 First Prize of 5 million VND/each category, 2 Second Prizes of 3 million VND each/each category, 3 Third Prizes of 2 million VND each/each category, and 5 Consolation Prizes of 1 million VND each/each category.

Specifically, to encourage participation and support from parents and families, Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company is awarding an additional 5 voting prizes per category, calculated based on the number of interactions (likes, comments, and shares) on each entry posted on the SEDIDCO fanpage, each prize worth 1 million VND.
