National 7-a-side Football Cup: Bringing Vietnam's "specialties" to spread strongly in the region

On the morning of October 9, the launching ceremony of the National 7-a-side Football Cup - Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup 2025 took place in Hanoi.

Since 2019, with the companionship and cooperation of businesses in the socialization process, 7-a-side Football has gradually become a popular "specialty" in Vietnam, receiving the support of a large number of fans, gradually creating achievements and existing values.

Overview of the ceremony

Through the seasons, Vietnamese 7-a-side Football has had a complete competition system and affirmed its prestige and position with its influence, wide spread and rich life as it is today. Every year, the tournament attracts the participation of many teams from the North, Central and South, contributing to creating a wide spread across the country.

In the last 2 years, the National 7-a-side Football Cup Finals have been held in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing a fresh breeze, marking success and receiving high praise from experts as well as the love and enthusiastic support of the audience.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration, spoke at the ceremony.

In order to continue joining hands to build and develop a meaningful playground for players and audiences nationwide and demonstrate the spirit and social responsibility, arouse and spread love and sportsmanship, thereby promoting an active lifestyle in the community, this year, the Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup 2025 National 7-a-side Football Cup (VSC-S5) will be held for the 5th time, promising many differences and attractions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department, highly appreciated the efforts of all parties in joining hands to develop 7-a-side Football: "In recent years, with the great efforts of VietFootball, the 7-a-side Football Cup has been organized regularly with high professionalism, attracting the participation of many clubs, creating a healthy playground, contributing to improving the professionalism of Vietnamese Football, spreading the love of football, building a healthy lifestyle".

The organizers and sponsors signed a cooperation agreement to launch the Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup 2025 National 7-a-side Football Cup.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh expressed his hope that in the coming time, VietFootball and other units will continue to join hands, making 7-a-side Football not only a "specialty" of Vietnam, but also developing it to other regions.

The 2025 season brings together strong teams, representing the identity of many regions. Of which, the North has 20 participating teams, including representatives of Hanoi , Thai Nguyen, Ha Tinh, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh... The South has 16 teams from Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of the West, Southeast, Central Highlands... The Central region takes place in Da Nang with the participation of 8 teams.

After more than 2 months of competition in the 3-region qualifying round, the 8 best teams with the best results will win tickets to attend the big festival of the National Finals.

According to the schedule, the matches in the Northern region will take place from October 12 to November 23 in Hanoi. The Southern region will take place from October 11 to November 15 in Ho Chi Minh City and the Central region will take place from October 19 to November 16 in Da Nang City. The National Finals will take place from November 29 to December 7 in Ho Chi Minh City.
