At around 4pm on July 15, at the beach of a resort in Phu Hai ward, Phan Thiet city, an incident occurred in which 7 tourists drowned. All were rescued to shore, including 2 seriously injured people who were taken to a hospital in Phan Thiet city for emergency treatment.

According to initial information, at around 2:00 p.m. the same day, a group of 22 tourists from Ho Chi Minh City traveled and stayed at a resort in Phu Hai ward, Phan Thiet city.
After checking in, at around 3:10 p.m., 7 people in the group went swimming at the beach in front of the resort. At around 4 p.m., all 7 people in the group drowned. When the incident was discovered, local residents and resort staff quickly swam out to rescue them.
Five people were brought ashore and given first aid on the spot and their health was stable; the two seriously injured people, Ms. D.TLH, born in 1995, residing in District 10, and Mr. VTH, born in 1994, residing in Nha Be District, were taken to An Phuoc General Hospital, Phan Thiet City for emergency treatment.
Doctors at An Phuoc General Hospital have actively provided emergency care. Up to this point, the two victims have overcome the critical stage and are being actively resuscitated and monitored.
Previously, on the afternoon of July 15, in the Phu Hai-Ham Tien-Mui Ne sea area, Phan Thiet city, there were big waves and complicated sea weather conditions.
