Previously, Ms. SP (Australian nationality) was taken by relatives to Hoan My Cuu Long General Hospital in a state of high fever, cough, and difficulty breathing.

Through examination, doctors discovered that the patient had severe pneumonia, which had progressed to respiratory failure accompanied by systemic infection and multiple organ failure. Worryingly, the patient also had many chronic diseases such as bronchial asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and obesity, factors that made the condition even more serious.

Upon admission, the patient was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for intensive treatment. Doctors quickly performed resuscitation measures such as oxygen support, antibiotic infusion, blood pressure medication, blood sugar control with insulin, and intensive respiratory care.

After 7 days of intensive treatment, the patient's health gradually recovered, fever subsided, breathing became easier, eating normally, vital signs were stable and he was discharged from the hospital and continued his personal schedule.

Dr. Nguyen Phi Hung, Medical Director of Hoan My Cuu Long General Hospital, said that for international tourists, encountering health problems while traveling is very difficult. Therefore, the hospital is always proactive in approaching, diagnosing, treating and providing language support, helping patients feel secure as if they were being cared for at home.
