He ended his football career at the age of 33, after half a year of not being absent from the professional football field.
The former defender born in 1991 said: "It's hard to describe my feelings right now. I want to officially say goodbye to my role as a professional football player. The decision to leave was not easy, but I understand that it's time to take time to take care of my family, after so many years away from home for my career ."
Nguyen Tien Duy plays as a central defender, trained at the Quang Ninh youth football academy. Tien Duy played brilliantly for his hometown team and was called up to the Vietnam national team by coach Toshiya Miura in 2015.
The player born in 1991 played against Iraq in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. Tien Duy was then absent from the national team but still played well in the V.League.

He played for V.League teams such as Than Quang Ninh, Sai Gon, Binh Dinh, Quang Nam . This player said he was proud to have contributed to bringing joy to fans, giving his all and leaving good impressions in each match. He won the National Cup and National Super Cup both in Than Quang Ninh's colors.
