Recently, after receiving money from selling sugarcane, Ms. Tran Thi Dung in Son Phuoc commune waited until the transaction office of the Social Policy Bank (SBP) in Son Hoa district organized a transaction in the commune to deposit savings. Ms. Dung shared: “I chose to deposit money at the commune transaction point because it is close to home, so I don’t have to travel. The interest rate is the same as that of commercial banks, and the State guarantees safety, so I feel very secure. On the fixed transaction date of the month, I just need to stop by to complete the procedure.”

Similar to Ms. Dung, Ms. Tong Thi Sen in Son Long commune shared: “I am the head of the savings and loan group. I understand the policy of depositing savings through the Social Policy Bank to contribute capital for lending to the poor, so I immediately implemented it to set an example. Not only did I propagate to the group members, I also encouraged households in the area to deposit savings at the Social Policy Bank because the transaction point is close and the staff are enthusiastic.”

The trust and sincere recommendations from people like Ms. Dung and Ms. Sen have helped the Son Hoa District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office attract more and more depositors. Mr. Le Trong Khoan, Director of this Transaction Office, said that in recent years, the unit has always exceeded its capital mobilization target through organizations and individuals. As of the end of March 2025, the total savings balance reached more than 67.6 billion VND, of which at commune transaction points accounted for more than 25.5 billion VND, equivalent to 37% of the total balance. This is an important resource to help the unit meet the borrowing needs of poor households and other policy beneficiaries in the area.

Practical, close-to-people, and realistic propaganda efforts will contribute to raising awareness, changing behavior, and creating trust so that more and more people and organizations actively participate in saving at the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies.

According to Mr. Khoan, to mobilize deposits from organizations and individuals, the Transaction Office of the People's Credit Fund of Son Hoa district has implemented many synchronous solutions. First of all, the unit has proactively advised the District People's Committee and the Board of Directors of the District People's Credit Fund to assign savings targets to each commune and town, in accordance with the conditions of each place. At meetings, the Head of the Board of Representatives sets an example by depositing savings first, mobilizing other members to participate. In addition, credit officers regularly advise the Party Committee, local authorities, especially the Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level on implementing credit targets at the commune level, including targets for mobilizing savings through organizations and individuals; including propaganda and mobilization of savings through organizations and individuals in annual emulation criteria.

Keeping up with the digitalization trend, the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Son Hoa district also promotes propaganda and encourages people to use the VBSP SmartBanking application to deposit money online, helping customers save time and make transactions safer.

Promote propaganda and mobilization

Currently, at 14/14 commune and town transaction points in Son Hoa district, the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office has fully disclosed information related to deposit mobilization activities, including policies, guidance documents, deposit forms, savings products, terms and interest rates. Accordingly, deposit interest rates at the Social Policy Bank are at the same level as those of state-owned commercial banks. Deposits at the Social Policy Bank are also 100% guaranteed by the State for payment capacity, bringing absolute peace of mind to the people. Customers can make deposit and withdrawal transactions right at the commune transaction point on a fixed day every month, helping to save time, travel costs and ensure asset safety...

In addition, the transaction office actively coordinates with entrusted socio -political organizations to widely disseminate the meaning of saving for the poor. This message is conveyed through conferences, savings and loan group meetings, and on the loudspeaker system, contributing to spreading the spirit of “people helping people” in the community.

In addition, each staff of the Social Policy Bank proactively improves the effectiveness of propaganda work, flexibly integrating propaganda anytime, anywhere under permitted conditions and in accordance with each specific situation. At the same time, the staff of the Social Policy Bank also constantly improves the spirit of service, always wholeheartedly supports and meets the needs of customers when coming to transact, contributing to creating a friendly and professional image of the Social Policy Bank. According to Mr. Khoan, in the coming time, the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Son Hoa district will continue to maintain and promote existing solutions; especially promoting propaganda, mobilization, and application of technology to improve the efficiency of capital mobilization, better serving the borrowing needs of poor households and policy beneficiaries in the area. "Practical propaganda efforts, close to the people, close to reality will contribute to raising awareness, changing behavior, creating trust so that more and more people and organizations actively participate in saving at the Social Policy Bank", Mr. Khoan said.
