Innovating propaganda

According to Mr. Huynh Tan Thanh, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Duy Xuyen District Party Committee, the unit has focused on innovating the propaganda work on learning and following the example of President Ho Chi Minh.

For example, leveraging the advantages of social media, the "Duy Xuyen Propaganda" fanpage of the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department and fanpages of agencies and units such as "Duy Xuyen Police," "Duy Xuyen Youth," etc., regularly post and share articles about good people and good deeds to promote them further.

In addition, many schools have developed radio programs during recess to spread stories about Uncle Ho and examples of good people and good deeds.

Particularly in 2023, the Propaganda Department of the Duy Xuyen District Party Committee organized a writing competition on exemplary individuals and groups in studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings. Through this, they received over 400 entries from many exemplary individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in implementing Directive No. 05 of the Politburo .

Mr. Thanh stated that Party branches, Party committees, and localities and units have intensified the implementation of learning and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings through various rich and diverse forms, including the radio and television system; organizing study and research integrated into commemorative activities of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations; and organizing storytelling competitions about Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style.

Some Party committees assigned staff members to collect stories about President Ho Chi Minh and topics related to studying and following his example, for distribution to all staff members.

During their regular monthly meetings, many Party branches assign Party members to tell stories about President Ho Chi Minh and relate them to the practical realities of their agencies and units.

Regarding promoting the role and responsibility of cadres and Party members in setting an example in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, 100% of cadres and Party members have completed the registration for setting an example...

Many good models

Over the past period, the Duy Xuyen District Party Committee has focused on building models that are suitable to practical realities, exemplary, and comprehensive in each field.

According to Mr. Nguyen Xinh, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Duy Xuyen District Party Committee, in April 2022, the model "The entire political system and people of the district join hands to eliminate temporary housing for people in the area" was launched and left a strong impression.

By June 2023, the entire district had eliminated all 63/63 temporary houses. Each house received at least 100 million VND in support, with an average area of 40-136m2, and was built solidly with reinforced concrete, brick walls, tiled or corrugated iron roofs, and tiled floors.

Or consider the model: "Unity, leveraging internal strengths, and effectively exploiting potential and advantages to develop Duy Xuyen in an increasingly comprehensive and sustainable manner."

Over the past two years, Duy Xuyen district has focused on promoting the spirit of unity and effectively implementing three key breakthrough tasks throughout the 2020-2025 term: accelerating the development of infrastructure and urban areas, developing tourism, and developing human resources.

As a result, production and business activities have developed steadily; the new rural development program has been implemented vigorously, gradually improving the criteria of a new rural district in conjunction with the urbanization process. On the other hand, timely resolution of policies and regulations has ensured social security and maintained national defense and security.

According to Mr. Nguyen Xinh, Party organizations, government agencies, and the Fatherland Front and mass organizations at the grassroots level have registered a total of 90 exemplary models to study and follow the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh.

Emphasis is placed on maintaining and developing effective models from previous years, such as the "Living Blood Bank" model of the Duy Trung Commune Youth Union; the "Pink Heart Blood Bank" model of the Duy Phuoc Commune Youth Union; the "Building a Model New Rural Area" model of the An Hoa Village Party Branch (Duy Trung Commune); and the "Saving 1 Day for Poor Women, Supporting Livelihoods for Poor Women"...

Since the beginning of 2023, Duy Xuyen has seen the emergence of many effective initiatives. Examples include the "Bookcase for Children" initiative of the District Youth Union, the "Promoting the Effectiveness of Charitable Work in the Association" model of the Veterans Association in Duy Phuoc commune, the "Saving Money in Piggy Banks to Share Love" model of the women in Duy Hai commune, and the "Duy Xuyen and Friends" volunteer club in Duy Hoa commune...

"These models are beautiful flowers in the 'garden of flowers offered to Uncle Ho,' contributing to building a cleaner and stronger Party Committee in Duy Xuyen district, and working together to build a more beautiful homeland," Mr. Xinh observed.
