Attending the opening ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; and representatives from various departments, agencies, and localities. The event was attended by distribution businesses, export businesses, supermarket chains, e-commerce platforms, trade promotion organizations, and more than 100 OCOP (One Commune One Product) entities, cooperatives, and production and business establishments in the city.
In her opening remarks, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Vu Thi Bich Hau stated that the "One Commune One Product (OCOP)" program has gradually affirmed its important role in rural economic development; contributing to increasing the value of local products, promoting production along the value chain, creating jobs, and increasing income for the people.

To date, Da Nang has many outstanding OCOP products, gradually affirming their quality, brand, and competitiveness in the market. Notably, in 2026, the city will have two more products recognized as 5-star OCOP products at the national level, bringing the total number of 5-star OCOP products in the city to four.
Two products have just been recognized as 5-star OCOP products at the national level: TOPCOCO sesame-baked coconut cake and TOPCOCO peanut-baked coconut cake from My Phuong Food Co., Ltd. (Hoa Khanh ward).

According to Ms. Vu Thi Bich Hau, the above results are not only a source of pride for the business but also reflect the process of innovation, improving product quality, building brand awareness, and affirming the position of Da Nang's OCOP products in domestic and international markets.
"This event also provides an opportunity for OCOP businesses to connect with distribution companies, export businesses, supermarket chains, e-commerce platforms, and consumers; thereby expanding cooperation opportunities, promoting trade, digital transformation, and product brand development," Ms. Hau emphasized.

In the coming period, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will continue to advise the city on effectively implementing the OCOP program, focusing on improving quality, sustainable development, and integration with local culture, tourism, and rural economic development.
Simultaneously, support OCOP businesses in trade promotion, application of science and technology, digital transformation, packaging and labeling improvement, traceability, and expansion of product markets.

The event "Exhibition and Introduction of OCOP Products within the Framework of Trade Connection in Da Nang in 2026" is taking place at 24/3 Square (Ban Thach Ward), lasting from now until May 17th, featuring many unique products from localities and businesses in the city.
