Da Nang is piloting a program to support household businesses in digital transformation.

Tomorrow, May 26, 2026, the conference to announce the pilot plan to support the digital transformation of wholesale and retail businesses in Da Nang city will be held, aiming to bring digital technology closer to the grassroots economic sector.

The conference was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the People's Committee of Da Nang City.

This initiative aims to promote digital transformation in the household business sector, helping shops, wholesalers, and retailers improve their management capabilities, expand sales channels, and adapt to digital commerce trends.

Following the initial results in Thai Nguyen in 2025, Da Nang was selected as the next locality to pilot the project due to its strong foundation in digital government, digital infrastructure, and high level of readiness for digital transformation.

The program aims to support household businesses in applying digital technology in management, sales, and expanding customer reach channels. (Illustrative image)

Participating households will receive a free assessment of their digital transformation readiness; consultation and support in accessing sales management solutions, electronic invoices, digital signatures, cashless payments, e-commerce, and AI tools for business.

With the support of 22 digital technology companies, banks, and service platforms, Da Nang aims to survey approximately 10,000 business households by the end of November 2026; striving for over 90% of participating households to receive advice, guidance, and support in experiencing suitable digital platforms.
