On March 24, Da Nang City held a ceremony to announce the completion and handover of the project to renovate the riverside sidewalk landscape along Thang Long Street from Asia Park to the border of Cam Le District.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said that the project to renovate the riverside sidewalk landscape along Thang Long Street from Asia Park to the border of Cam Le District is a project of important political and social significance, to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Da Nang City Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City.
“The project is designed to be modern and user-friendly, to meet the increasing travel needs of residents and tourists,” said Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi.
Construction started in May 2024. The project to renovate the riverside sidewalk landscape along Thang Long Street from Asia Park to Cam Le District is invested by the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Traffic and Agricultural Works of Da Nang City with a total length of nearly 2km and a total investment of 44.2 billion VND.
The project has landscape architecture items including trees, public toilets, gym equipment, walkways, bicycle paths, railings... Notably, this is the first project in Da Nang to use wind chimes to create a highlight for the landscape space and shade for the area along the Cam Le River.
Bicycle paths and walking paths with 15-21.6m wide sidewalks, 3m wide washed stone bicycle paths, natural stone paved walking paths, integrated stone benches, seats and outdoor fitness equipment.
The project also invested in 2 smart public toilet clusters with many superior features, the cabin body of the equipment is made of stainless steel material that meets ASEAN public toilet standards.

The project completed and put into use contributes to the completion and synchronous connection of technical infrastructure, continuous connection of the riverside walking route, contributing to the embellishment of the landscape, strengthening the green space for the urban area; creating space for public activities, entertainment of the community in the area; at the same time, it is also a highlight of the city's landscape on the west bank of Cam Le River.
The existing shade tree system on the sidewalk of Thang Long Street is also kept intact...

“With this renovation, the sidewalk of Thang Long Street will become a safe, clean and beautiful space, encouraging people to walk, contributing to building a civilized and modern Da Nang city. The city government will continue to make efforts to improve the infrastructure, increasingly better meeting the needs of the people and the requirements of the city's socio-economic development in the coming time,” said Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi.
