In order to raise funds and support people in the northern provinces and cities that suffered heavy losses due to storms and floods, at 8:00 p.m. on September 16-17, the Youth Theater will organize a special art program "Full Moon Night Party" at the Youth Theater (11 Ngo Thi Nham, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi ). The theater will donate the profits from the program to people affected by storms and floods.

Storm No. 3 with its severe devastation, flash floods, landslides, and floods everywhere has severely affected the lives of many people in the northern provinces and cities. Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, continuing to promote the tradition of solidarity, "mutual love and support", "the rich help the poor" and the power of culture to join hands with the Party and State to quickly restore production and support people to stabilize their lives, recently, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a meeting to agree on the policy of implementing art programs to raise funds and support people in the northern provinces and cities that suffered heavy losses caused by storms and floods.

Party Central Committee member, Party Committee Secretary, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung assigned the Department of Performing Arts to coordinate and direct 12 art units of the Ministry to develop a plan to organize 6 art programs.

The program is held for 2 days, September 16-17.

Accordingly, following the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Youth Theater will organize a special art program "Full Moon Night Party" to donate profits to support people affected by storms and floods.

Sharing with To Quoc Online Newspaper, Director of the Youth Theater, Meritorious Artist Nguyen Si Tien said: "This is a very meaningful and timely direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In the past few days, storm No. 3 has caused serious damage, severely affecting the lives of many people in the northern provinces and cities. Therefore, organizing an art program for charity purposes will become much more meaningful and artists like us are very supportive. Through the art program, the Theater wishes to share the pain and loss of people severely affected by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi) and mobilize the kind hearts and generosity of Vietnamese people to support our compatriots to overcome the consequences of storms and floods."

Also according to Meritorious Artist Nguyen Si Tien: "With the function of a Theater for children, meanwhile, storms and floods are coming when the Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, so organizing the art program "Full Moon Night Party" is not only a meaningful program for children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, but through the program, the Theater also wants to convey the message to children to love and share with friends in areas affected by storms and floods. After this program, we will organize a number of other performances for children in areas affected by storms and floods".

The special art program "Full Moon Night Party" will use the program's profits to donate to support people affected by storms and floods.

Director Dao Duy Anh - Program Director said: "In this art program, we still have art performances, singing and dancing, lion dance, star lantern procession,... However, the difference is that we will integrate many activities to convey the message of solidarity, "mutual love", "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves" of Vietnamese people during the storm and flood to the children. Because, we hope that the children will still have a memorable Mid-Autumn Festival in their childhood, besides that emotion, they will have deep awareness of sharing. And this program is also an opportunity for artists like us to show our responsibility to the community, using our songs and voices to connect the audience with people in areas affected by floods and natural disasters".

In addition, coming to the program, the audience will also enjoy a play called "The Lantern", director Dao Duy Anh said: The play tells the story of the journey of protecting the moon of Ms. Hang, Mr. Cuoi and their friends from the boss of darkness to keep the Mid-Autumn Festival for the children. Because, to complete the Mid-Autumn Festival for the children, it is necessary to light the lantern, with 6 pieces: Sadness, joy, anger, love, hate, resentment.

The lantern must have all 6 pieces representing human personality, then it can light up on the full moon night, otherwise a dark force will cover the earth and take over the moon and there will be no more Mid-Autumn Festival. With the impossible mission of finding the 6th piece "Hate", the characters brave dog, wise monkey and jade rabbit have a journey to protect the light of the earth so that children can have a happy Mid-Autumn Festival.

Artists participating in the program

"This year's Mid-Autumn Festival also comes when we have just experienced the severe effects of storm No. 3. In some places that have suffered heavy damage, from each family to agencies, units, departments and branches, everyone needs to focus on overcoming the consequences and damage of the storm, making Mid-Autumn Festival activities somewhat quieter. But I firmly believe that each person and each family will have their own way to celebrate the reunion festival in a simple and cozy way. And I also hope that the special art program "Full Moon Night Party" organized by the Youth Theater will share some of the loss with the people affected by storms and floods, both spiritually and materially during this reunion festival" - Director Dao Duy Anh expressed.

It is known that currently the artists are focusing on practicing hard to have a complete program in both art and charity activities. The program has the participation of artists from the Drama Troupe - Youth Theater such as: Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh; Thanh Duong; Thanh Tu; Phan Thang; Manh Hoang; Anh Quan; Yen My; Thuy Dung; Thu Ha; Vu Anh; Duc Anh; Trong Minh…./.
