Provincial National Assembly delegates question the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism

On the afternoon of August 21, under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man , the National Assembly Standing Committee continued to question and answer questions on the implementation of the resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee on thematic supervision and questioning from the beginning of the 15th National Assembly term to the end of 2023.

In addition to broadcasting live on television and radio, the question and answer session was connected online with 62 connecting points in provinces and cities across the country.

Continuing the morning program, National Assembly deputies questioned the first group of issues in the fields of: agriculture and rural development; industry and trade; culture, sports and tourism.

Questioning the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, delegate Tran Thi Hong Thanh, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ninh Binh Province, asked: Developing green tourism towards the goal of sustainable tourism development is a trend, an opportunity but also a challenge for Vietnam tourism. Could the Minister please tell us what key solutions need to be focused on in the coming time to promote the development of green tourism?

Responding to questions from the National Assembly Delegation of Ninh Binh Province, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung affirmed: In the Strategy for developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector, priority has been given to choosing green tourism products. The Government has issued Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP of the Government on key tasks and solutions to accelerate recovery and accelerate effective and sustainable tourism development; the Prime Minister has issued Directive No. 08/CT-TTg on comprehensive, rapid and sustainable tourism development in the coming time.

In particular, it emphasizes the implementation of solutions to build and deploy the Green Tourism Action Program for the period 2023-2025, protecting the natural and social environment at key tourist destinations in the direction of "Green, clean, beautiful, civilized, friendly tourist destinations". Developing sustainable tourism based on cultural foundations and outstanding products to connect tours and develop regional tourism. Along with that, it also clearly defines the viewpoint that tourism development is not at all costs, but must focus on the ecological environment.

Next, the National Assembly deputies questioned the second group of issues in the fields of: Justice; internal affairs; security, order, and social safety; inspection; court; and prosecution.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long; Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra; Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang; Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong; Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh; Director of the Supreme People's Procuracy Le Minh Tri answered questions on the following contents: Progress in implementing the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels; solutions to remove difficulties after the arrangement of administrative units; solutions to remove difficulties in judicial appraisal work; appraisal of the value of the timber lot of evidence in the rosewood case in Quang Tri; results of reviewing legal documents in the field of citizen reception, the Law on Complaints, the Law on Denunciations; solutions to increase the level of compensation for court sessions for People's Assessors; solutions to overcome the situation where laws have come into effect but have not been implemented...
