Accordingly, VNU enrolls candidates who are eligible for direct admission, priority admission and university preparation, and foreigners who are eligible for admission according to the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), the Specific Regulations of VNU, and related regulations of VNU.

Admission for candidates using the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam that meet the input quality assurance threshold prescribed by VNU; Candidates with the results of the high school student capacity assessment exam organized by VNU achieving a minimum score of 80/150 or higher.
In addition, this school also applies admission to candidates with the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment test of at least 750/1200 points or higher;
Candidates with an international certificate from the University of Cambridge Examinations Center, UK (Cambridge International Examinations A-Level, UK; hereinafter referred to as A-Level certificate) with results of 3 subjects, including Math or Literature according to the prescribed combination of the corresponding training program, ensuring that the score of each subject is 60/100 points or higher (equivalent to grade C, PUM range ≥ 60);
Candidates with SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test, USA) scores of 1100/1600 or higher. VNU's registration code with the SAT testing organization (The College Board) is 7853-Vietnam National University-Hanoi (candidates need to declare the above registration code when registering for the SAT);
Candidates with ACT (American College Testing) standardized test results of 22/36 points or higher;
Candidates must have an IELTS English certificate with a minimum score of 5.5 or equivalent international English certificates (Appendix 1) or other foreign language certificates (Appendix 2) and have a total score of the remaining 2 subjects in the admission group (including mandatory Math or Literature) of at least 14 points in the high school graduation exam of the year of admission.
In addition to the above admission methods, some units have their own specific training programs/majors and fields (aptitude test or interview combined with high school academic results/high school graduation exam results/national university entrance exam results/international certificates). Details are announced in the Admission Plan of the units.
International certificates, VSTEP English certificates, and ĐGNL certificates must be valid until the candidate registers for the exam (valid for 02 years from the exam date).
