The 1st Congress of An Giang Provincial Party Committee held a preparatory session.

On the afternoon of October 2, at the An Giang Provincial Cultural and Arts Center, the 1st Congress of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, held a preparatory meeting, with the participation of 448 official delegates representing more than 131,000 party members appointed from 107 party committees under the Provincial Party Committee.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai stated the purpose and requirements of the preparatory meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai said that implementing Directive No. 45-CT/TW dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo and the Central Committee's regulations on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, with the consent of the Politburo, the An Giang Provincial Party Committee convened the 1st Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term on October 2 and 3, 2025. The Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee affirmed that all the contents of the preparatory session are closely related to each other and are all important; doing well the contents of the preparatory session is the basis and condition contributing to the success of the 1st Provincial Party Congress. He asked the delegates to uphold the spirit of responsibility, promote democracy, and fulfill their responsibilities at the congress.
