
Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Anh Chuc, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee; Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Standing Member of the Council of Buddhist Elders, Standing Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, and Abbot of Bai Dinh Pagoda; and Venerable Thich Quang Ha, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ninh Binh province.
Also attending were representatives from departments, agencies, and communes of Ninh Binh province, along with thousands of monks, nuns, Buddhists, local people, and tourists from all over who flocked to Bai Dinh Pagoda on the day of the grand ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Chuc, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, affirmed: "The Buddha's Birthday celebration is a momentous event for monks, nuns, and Buddhists worldwide . This is an occasion to commemorate the birth of Shakyamuni Buddha, the great enlightened one who brought the light of compassion and wisdom to illuminate the people, guiding them towards truth, goodness, and beauty, encouraging them to live with love, tolerance, harmony, and together build a peaceful, tranquil, and happy society."

Ninh Binh province always acknowledges, appreciates, and highly values the positive and responsible contributions of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of the province and all monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers to the overall development of the locality.
At the same time, we hope that the Vietnam Buddhist Association of the province will continue to maintain the solemnity of the monastic environment and promote the beautiful cultural and ethical values of Buddhism.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Chuc further emphasized that the province expects local Buddhism to continue actively participating in social welfare activities, environmental protection, building a civilized lifestyle, and contributing to building a more prosperous, beautiful, and compassionate Ninh Binh homeland.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented charitable gifts worth 100 million VND to more than 100 underprivileged students in Tay Hoa Lu ward, along with many activities spreading the spirit of kindness and compassion to help them find peace and tranquility in their souls.
