Colonel and musician Ho Trong Tuan was born in 1973 in Nghe An. His family did not have a tradition of art, but Ho Trong Tuan revealed and demonstrated his musical talent from a young age, through children's songs taught by his mother.
In 1985, Ho Trong Tuan was admitted to the Military University of Culture and Arts (Military Arts School) which organized admissions in Military Region 5.
Here, he majored in Violin and Organ Performance at intermediate level; Composition and Directing at college and university level. He then graduated with a master's degree in Cultural Management from the Academy of Educational Management.
During his studies and work at the Military University of Culture and Arts, musician Ho Trong Tuan held many positions such as: teaching assistant, lecturer, performance assistant, head of the performance committee; Deputy Director, Director of the Practical Arts Theater (under the school); Vice Principal and has just been appointed as Principal of the Military University of Culture and Arts.
Colonel, musician Ho Trong Tuan composed many musical works about studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and received awards from the Central Propaganda Department such as: Common Homeland, Sacred Land... Among them, the musician is most satisfied with the song Following the Call of Uncle Ho , inspired by the poem of poet To Huu. The work depicts the image of Uncle Ho in the mountains and forests of Viet Bac, carrying the message that the whole nation follows his call to gain independence.
Besides some musical compositions in the light music style that are loved by many audiences such as: Sao anh sao em, Muon noi voi em ..., songs composed from folk materials such as: Me Au Co, Bom, Goi trang ... by musician Ho Trong Tuan are also recognized by the public and spread in the musical life.
