General Phan Van Giang attends the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum

At the invitation of Senior Lieutenant General Dong Jun, Minister of National Defense of China, General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense led a high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam to attend the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum in Beijing, China from September 12 to 14.

This visit to the Beijing Xiangshan Forum by the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense aims to implement the common perception between the two countries' senior leaders, especially the Joint Statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, building a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance (December 2023); demonstrating support and active participation in international multilateral activities organized by the Chinese Ministry of National Defense, contributing to strengthening bilateral defense cooperation, contributing to the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China; and at the same time continuing to affirm Vietnam's active and responsible role in international and regional issues.
