General Phan Van Giang attended the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum.

At the invitation of General Dong Jun, Minister of National Defense of China, General Phan Van Giang, Member of the Political Bureau, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, and Minister of National Defense of Vietnam, led a high-level delegation from the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam to attend the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum in Beijing, China, from September 12th to 14th.

The participation of the high-level delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence in the Beijing Xiangshan Forum aims to implement the common understanding between the high-level leaders of the two countries, especially the Joint Statement on further deepening and elevating the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and building a strategically significant Vietnam-China Community with a shared future (December 2023); to demonstrate support for and actively participate in international multilateral activities organized by the Chinese Ministry of National Defence, contributing to strengthening bilateral defence cooperation and contributing to the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China; and to further affirm Vietnam's active and responsible role in international and regional issues.
