Delegates attending the Exhibition Opening
Attending the opening ceremony of the Exhibition were Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hiep - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Dak Lak province, Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee; Mr. Le Dinh Hoan - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Mr. Luu Tien Quang - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training; Mr. Y Bion Nie - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Mr. Tran Minh Chau - Member of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Nang district, Head of the Local Exhibition Organizing Committee. Attending the opening ceremony of the Exhibition were also representatives of departments, branches and sectors of the province, leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and departments of Krong Nang district; civil servants, public employees, armed forces; youth union members, students and people in Krong Nang district.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hiep - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Dak Lak province delivered the opening speech of the Exhibition.
The exhibition displays and introduces many documents, texts, artifacts, publications and nearly 100 maps collected from official sources that have been published so far by domestic and international researchers and scholars, affirming the process of establishing, implementing and protecting Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos. In particular, the Nguyen Dynasty's records (from the Gia Long Dynasty to the Bao Dai Dynasty) issued directly related to the issue of exploitation, management, establishment and implementation of sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos of Vietnam.
Mr. Tran Minh Chau - District Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of Krong Nang District People's Committee, Head of the Local Exhibition Organizing Committee delivered a speech on the implementation of the Exhibition's activities.
Speaking at the opening of the Exhibition, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hiep - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Dak Lak province, Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee affirmed that Vietnam's seas and islands are a sacred part of the Fatherland; the seas and islands have a particularly important position in the cause of building, developing and protecting the country. Implementing the Party's policies and the State's laws, the work of information and propaganda about the seas and islands, especially the sovereignty of the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa, has been directed by the Central Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Information and Communications to local Party committees and authorities to strengthen implementation. In 2014, Dak Lak was the first province in the Southern region chosen by the Ministry of Information and Communications to organize the mobile exhibition "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa of Vietnam - Historical and legal evidence". Following the success of the above Exhibition, implementing the direction of the Ministry of Information and Communications and the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, from 2019 to present, the Department of Information and Communications has coordinated with localities to organize 8 Exhibitions in districts and towns including: M'Drak, Ea Kar, Ea Sup, Krong Bong, Ea H'leo, Cu Kuin, Buon Ho town and Krong Buk district. These exhibitions were successful and attracted special attention from a large number of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the province.
Delegates cut the ribbon to open the Exhibition
Krong Nang is the 10th locality in the province to organize the mobile exhibition "Hoang Sa, Truong Sa of Vietnam - Historical and legal evidence", thereby contributing to helping cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers, students and people grasp the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on Vietnam's seas and islands, especially the legal basis for the sovereignty of the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa of Vietnam.
Delegates visited and listened to presentations about sea and island documents.
In addition to the exhibition and introduction of documents affirming the process of establishing, implementing and protecting Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, the People's Committee of Krong Nang district also organized the "I love Vietnam's Sea and Islands" contest for students. This is a very meaningful activity, contributing to educating the tradition of patriotism, national pride and self-respect among all cadres, civil servants, public employees and students in the district's education sector.
The exhibition will close on November 3.
