Quality assurance of HIV serological testing

After 3 working days (from July 30 to August 1, 2025), the workshop "Ensuring the quality of HIV serological testing" organized by the Center for Disease Control of Ca Mau province in coordination with the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City was successful, bringing many positive results.

The workshop attracted the participation of about 50 medical staff from laboratories in the Southern region, public and private hospitals in Ca Mau province, along with staff from the Department of Laboratory - Diagnostic Imaging - Functional Examination, Ca Mau Provincial Center for Disease Control.

During the 3-day event, experts from the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City and the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang presented in-depth content on updating the HIV epidemiological situation, providing the latest information on the epidemic's developments; Legal requirements: disseminating the Ministry of Health's regulations on HIV testing and testing quality management.

Emphasizing the importance of ensuring testing quality in HIV detection, diagnosis and treatment, Mr. Nguyen Quan Phu, Deputy Director of the Provincial Center for Disease Control, affirmed that this is a valuable opportunity for trainees to update their knowledge, exchange, learn and together find solutions to existing problems in HIV testing in particular and testing in general.
