On May 20, the People's Committee of Tan Binh commune issued a notice warning people about the dangers of traveling on boats, fishing, and swimming in Lo Duong canal, the section adjacent to canal 12, because crocodiles appear in this area.
Previously, two people traveling by boat on Lo Duong canal discovered a crocodile over 1 meter long, weighing tens of kilograms floating on the canal, but just a minute later the crocodile dived deep into the canal.

After receiving the notice from the people, the Commune People's Committee coordinated with functional units to check along the canal, using folk methods to lure the crocodile, however, after many days of searching, the crocodile was still not found.
Many people often use boats to travel along this canal, get water for irrigation, catch fish, and swim, so the appearance of crocodiles in the canal is a potential danger.
Before catching the crocodile, to avoid danger and risk, the People's Committee of Tan Binh commune issued a warning notice about the crocodiles appearing on the canal. The People's Committee of the commune asked people to be vigilant, when discovering a crocodile, do not catch it yourself but report to the local authorities for support in handling it.
In addition, the Commune People's Committee also warned people to watch children carefully, not to let children swim in the canal, and not to set up fishing nets along the canal to ensure safety.
