Highlights Daniil Medvedev 1-3 Benjamin Bonzi:
Returning to the ATP top 10 after a period of decline, the Russian tennis player was expected to go deep in the tournament. However, things did not go as expected.
In the first set, Bonzi - the 64th ranked French player in the world played confidently, holding his serve and pulling Medvedev into a tie-break.

Surprise after surprise as Bonzi easily won 7-2 in this nerve-wracking match. In set 2, Medvedev promptly regained his spirit and won 6-3.
It seemed that this would be the turning point to help the “Russian Bear” return, but set 3 continued to witness another disappointing tie-break from Medvedev, when he lost 3-7. The climax of the disappointment was set 4, where the former world number 1 almost collapsed and lost quickly 2-6.
A 1-3 defeat to a lower-rated opponent caused Medvedev to stop early, leaving the first shock at Wimbledon this year.
