This is a film project produced by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army in coordination with Vietnam Television to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 / December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 / December 22, 2024). The film project has the meaning of widely propagating the dedication, contributions, and sacrifices of the Army in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; preserving, promoting, and spreading the noble values of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" in the new situation.
The film is tentatively titled “Space of Time”, expected to be 60 episodes long (25 minutes/episode), produced by the Television Film Production Center (VFC), Vietnam Television, recreating part of the heroic and glorious fight of generations of fathers and brothers during the war (the period of resistance against the US, saving the country) but also full of sacrifices and losses; at the same time, depicting the difficulties, hardships, and silent contributions of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” in peacetime.
The film combines two stories of the past and present with interwoven narratives, clearly depicting the portrait of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in each period, creating a reflection, showing the continuation of the tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army - an army born from the people, fighting for the people, closely attached to the people. The film is also the people's response to the Army, to the soldiers who are willing to sacrifice their lives to keep the peace of the Fatherland; millions of hearts of the Fatherland always turn to you - the soldiers of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" whether in wartime or peacetime.

After the success of the film "War Without Borders" in 2023, Meritorious Artist Nguyen Danh Dung continues to take on the role of director of this film. He is also the person behind the success of many TV series loved by audiences and won many awards such as "Come Home, My Child", "Spring Stay", "Taste of Love" ...
Producers and filmmakers surveyed, assessed and accepted the staged set, prepared for production and filming in Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province.

According to Meritorious Artist Nguyen Danh Dung, director of the film project, the film crew basically implemented the plan and schedule, there were some problems but they were overcome by the crew to ensure the time to start filming phase 1 (war setting), expected in June.
In July and August, review the detailed script and scenes; organize the production and filming of phase 2 (major scenes such as floods, landslides, epidemics, etc. in peacetime). In September and October, review the detailed script, edit the film, and approve phase 3; broadcast the first episodes in October 2024.
It is expected that the filming will take place in the provinces of Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Son La and Ninh Binh .
