At this time, along with many other localities, the ethnic minority area of Song Luy mountainous commune, Lam Dong province (imported from Phan Tien, Song Luy, Binh Tan communes, Bac Binh district, old Binh Thuan province) is focusing on weeding, plowing the land, waiting for rain to plant the new corn crop. Most ethnic minority households mainly rely on rainwater for production, so they only have one crop per year. Mr. Mang Ni - Song Luy commune shared: My family is producing 2 hectares of corn according to the province's advance investment policy. Since the support policy from the State, the economy of the family and the local ethnic minorities has been more stable thanks to support for advance investment in fertilizer, pesticides, and product consumption. After deducting expenses, the family earns nearly 30 million VND in profit each year, from which people can rest assured to develop the economy and stabilize their lives.

According to the Provincial Mountain Service Center, in the past time, the center has always been proactive in organizing training courses, transferring scientific and technical advances, helping people produce effectively. Along with that, the items that the Center supports for investment in production development (advance payments) are rice seeds, corn seeds, chemical fertilizers, various pesticides, land plowing fees and rice for consumption during production. In particular, the advance payment rate for hybrid corn is calculated based on the actual planting area of each household and is a maximum of 2 hectares/household/crop. The investment content includes the cost of land, hybrid corn seeds 15 kg/ha, various fertilizers 550 kg/ha, and pesticides 4 kg (or 4 liters)/ha. The selling price of goods and materials is always updated promptly according to market developments and is publicly announced on information boards at stores, agents, as well as the People's Committees of communes that implement policies... Even in Phan Tien commune (old), in the past year, 17 households implemented with an area of over 19 hectares, including 10 poor households and 7 near-poor households participating in supporting value chain production linkage. Households were invested with seeds, fertilizers and pesticides, with a total investment of 265.48 million VND... In the whole province, in 3 years (from 2022 - 2024), the Center has invested in over 3,200 households with a total investment value of more than 43.89 billion VND.
According to the Center's assessment, from the achieved results, the people trust the policies of the Party and the State. Thereby, the awareness of ethnic minority households has been raised, promoting internal strength to rise up to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty. In parallel, along with other support policies, the policy from Resolution 18 has contributed to helping ethnic minority households have enough materials and goods to develop production, limiting the situation of usury, forced signing, and price gouging in ethnic minority areas. Thanks to that, it contributes to promoting production development in ethnic minority areas, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty.
