Support the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities

Implementing Project 6 "Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" under the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021-2025, the whole province has supported the survey, inventory, and collection of documents on 834 cultural heritages; 1 traditional festival has been restored, reconstructed and preserved; 2 traditional festivals have been restored, preserved and developed into products serving tourism development.

In 5 years, there have been 53 training courses, professional development, and intangible cultural heritage transmission courses organized: Classes to teach the Dao ethnic language and writing; Classes to teach Cham Thau singing of the Muong ethnic group; Classes to teach Vi, Rang, Cham Duong singing of the Muong ethnic group; Classes to train tourism professional development associated with the exploitation of traditional cultural values in Long Coc commune...

Nom Dao script teaching classes in Xuan Vien commune have contributed to preserving and promoting the cultural values of the Dao ethnic group.

Implemented 3 projects to research, restore, preserve and develop intangible culture of ethnic minorities at risk of extinction (forms of cultural activities, social customs, musical instruments, traditional architecture, traditional costumes, traditional sports ); 3 models to protect and promote traditional culture of ethnic minorities were built; 49 traditional art troupes in villages; 811 villages have traditional art troupes; 5 points to support investment in building typical tourist destinations; 4,373 sets of publications on traditional culture of ethnic minorities were developed, published and distributed to ethnic minority communities.

In addition, 103 bookcases have been built; 188 cultural houses and community houses have been repaired; and 660 villages and hamlets have been supported in purchasing equipment to meet the cultural needs and improve the lives of ethnic minorities in the province.
