(LĐ online) - Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Decision approving the auction results of more than 6,200m3 of sand as evidence of a criminal case, earning more than 2.1 billion VND.

Accordingly, the winning bidder is Dinh Tam Company Limited, located at Dinh Van Industrial Cluster, Tan Lam village, Da Don commune, Lam Ha district with the winning bid amount of VND 2,165,328,000.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to take full responsibility before the law and the Provincial People's Committee for the publicity, transparency, honesty, objectivity and the process and procedures for the auction of 6,210.170 m3 of sand (evidence of the criminal case) that has been appraised and submitted for approval.
Previously, in 2023, the police caught Khong Van Quy (37 years old), residing in Nam Ban town, Lam Ha district, illegally mining sand under the Da Cho Mo hydroelectric reservoir, in Phi To commune, Lam Ha district. At the scene, the authorities recorded more than 400m3 of sand being gathered along the shore waiting to be sold. Through investigation, Lam Dong Provincial Police determined that from January to September 2023, Khong Van Quy illegally mined sand.
After that, Quy sold a part to organizations and individuals in Da Lat city, Lam Ha district and Duc Trong district. The remaining sand was gathered at 3 locations in Phi To commune with a volume of more than 6,210m3 . Expanding the investigation of the case, Lam Dong Provincial Police prosecuted and detained Ca Duc Hom (51 years old), former Chairman of Phi To commune People's Committee, Chairman of Nam Ha commune People's Committee; Nhan The Anh (41 years old), Vice Chairman of Phi To commune People's Committee and 2 other officials under the Phi To commune People's Committee.
