At the beginning of the week, gold price decreased by 500,000-1,000,000 VND/tael

On the morning of April 28, domestic gold prices decreased by 500,000 - 1,000,000 VND/tael in the context of falling world precious metal prices.

At nearly 9:00 a.m., the international gold price dropped by more than 33 USD/ounce, slipping below the 3,300 USD/ounce mark, to 3,284.4 USD/ounce, converted to be about 16.3 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.

In the domestic market, at the opening session, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed SJC gold bars at 118.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 120.5 million VND/tael (sell), down 500,000 VND/tael each way compared to the end of last week.

The price of gold rings here also decreased by 500,000 VND/tael, to 113.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 116 million VND/tael (sell).

Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company reduced the price of gold rings by VND1 million/tael each way, down to VND113.5 million/tael (buy) - VND116.5 million/tael (sell).

This enterprise brought the price of SJC gold bars to 118.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 120.5 million VND/tael (sell), 500,000 VND/tael lower than last weekend each way.

The buying-selling price range of SJC gold bars is set by the enterprise at 2.5 million VND/tael; gold rings are at 2.5-3 million VND/tael.

Last week, the price of gold fluctuated strongly, at one point reaching an all-time high of VND124 million/tael. Overall, the price of the precious metal increased by VND7 million/tael for the entire week.
