"Black Drug" caused a lot of controversy because of its many hot and violent scenes.

In the first episodes, the show had many scenes of partying, debauchery in bars, by the pool, on yachts, and even drug use in private rooms...

Many details related to violence, sex, and rape by the Cityboy group with the characters Tien, Vuong, and Tuyet caused endless debate among the audience because they thought it was not suitable for prime time on national television.

Many viewers left comments reacting to the film, saying "VTV's film is shown during prime time for the whole family to watch, such images are really inappropriate". Or "The film is full of butts and breasts, the content is nonsense, gradually becoming similar to nonsense comedies, sex comedies".

Some people even said they were "disgusted" because the film contained explicit erotic images.

Many viewers also believe that the film is too revealing and overuses sexual elements, which can have a negative impact on young people. If not careful, it will have the opposite effect, causing the audience to encourage and imitate the bad habits in the film.

However, there are also many opinions defending the filmmakers. Audience member Nguyen Ngoc Dung, Hanoi, said that the film only reflects the reality of life. A crime film would not be a film if it did not talk about social evils. In fact, social networks are full of violent scenes. VTV broadcasting the film is also a way to warn the audience about the pitfalls of life.

The film's director believes that the outside world is much more terrible than what is shown in the film.

The audience's reaction to the hot and violent scenes in the film was something the film crew had thought about.

Director Tran Trong Khoi believes that the real world is much more terrible than what is shown in the film. The things we are afraid to talk about are 10 times more terrible than what we see in the trailer.

He also expressed his wish that parents watch the movie with their children every night because although the movie has sensitive scenes, there is always a comparison between family and social issues.

"Many types of drugs are not yet called drugs but are harmful to young people. They are very toxic, have great harm but young people only think it brings pleasure. I hope parents will sit down and watch this film with their children to see what the consequences will be if they go in the wrong direction" - Director Tran Trong Khoi expressed.

The film's director affirmed that there is always careful consideration from the leaders, directors, cameramen, and actors to see how it is appropriate and whether it is suitable for national television or not.

The film's co-director Pham Gia Phuong added that he and the film crew thought and measured a lot and made appropriate adjustments.

"The crew discussed with the actors to get everyone into character, not having to act out violent or hot scenes over and over again. Because it's a national television show, we understand that we have to moderate it appropriately. Many previous "Criminal Police" films were much more edgy and were remembered by viewers forever," said director Pham Gia Phuong.
