I'm very happy to have programs like this. For me, the program has inspired me and made me love traditional Vietnamese music even more.

Student NGUYEN HUYNH MINH TRI

Present in the hall to watch the program were a large number of young people and students who are volunteering in the summer volunteer programs and campaigns of Ho Chi Minh City this year. The performance was lively, and the audience's atmosphere was even more cheerful and playful, even though they were watching a traditional opera that had been performed many times before.

Besides the applause for the artists, the entire hall erupted in laughter at the demonstrations of whip-wielding and horse-riding by many students who volunteered to go on stage when invited to participate. Lam Gia Nhu (from the Practice High School, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education) volunteered to demonstrate horseback riding and whipping. Quite unfamiliar with the art of traditional Vietnamese opera, Gia Nhu carefully observed each movement of the artists and meticulously repeated them to ensure accuracy.

Nguyen Huynh Minh Tri (a third-year student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education) said that despite his young age, he is very passionate about traditional Vietnamese opera (hat boi) and has often bought tickets to see performances. Therefore, when invited to interact with the artists, Minh Tri was the first to step onto the stage, calling it a "precious and unforgettable experience."

Meanwhile, student Pham Quynh Bach Hop was excitedly watching the performance of the excerpt about the hero Tran Binh Trong that day. Therefore, when invited to participate in the Q&A session afterward, Bach Hop ran as fast as she could to be one of the 10 people on stage.

Although it was completely new to her, Hop volunteered to demonstrate how to paddle a boat. Surprisingly, her movements were quite skillful, and she immediately "played the role" of a girl from the Mekong Delta, paddling a boat while calling out to customers to buy banh xeo (Vietnamese savory pancakes).

At the end of the performance, Bach Hop said she was extremely impressed and admired the artists. Having watched every detail, Hop said that from the makeup and costume selection to the voice and acting style, everything was meticulously planned. This allowed them to bring out the essence and personality of each character, and she was even more impressed by the artists' detailed explanations during the Q&A session.

The Ho Chi Minh City summer volunteer soldiers recently had a memorable experience with the school-based traditional music program "Red Phoenix Flower Soldiers with the Art of Traditional Opera." Two performances at the District 4 Children's House and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education seemed insufficient. They will have to wait for other performances organized by the Campaign Command, the Ho Chi Minh City Student Cultural Center, and other units as part of the summer volunteer program.

Âm nhạc dẫn lối, vượt lên bóng tối Music leads the way, transcending the darkness.

Unable to see, surrounded only by darkness, one day music opened the way, bringing colorful sounds to the lives of the visually impaired.
