This afternoon (December 16th), Ho Chi Minh City University of Education officially announced its plan to organize the Specialized Competency Assessment Examination (H-SCA), including a specific schedule for three examination sessions in 2026.
This exam is for 11th and 12th grade students and individuals who wish to learn more about the exam and its format. It is an important admissions method aimed at selecting candidates with specialized abilities that meet the specific entry requirements of the university's specialized academic programs.
The exam consists of independent tests in: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, literature, and English. Candidates can choose to register for one or more of the above subjects to be considered for admission to programs that use the results of the specialized aptitude test based on the school's 2026 admission plan and other schools that use the exam results.
Candidates take the exam on computers at testing locations organized by the school and have the right to choose their preferred exam session and location.
The school has announced the schedule for the specialized aptitude test in 3 phases in 2026. In phase 1, candidates register online from February 25th to March 12th, and the test will be held from March 26th to March 29th.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education planned to maintain stable admission methods for 2026 with three main groups. Specifically, these include: Direct admission and priority consideration for students from specialized classes; Admission based on high school graduation exam scores; and Admission based on a combination of both. The combined admission method includes scores from specialized aptitude tests and academic transcripts; or scores from the high school graduation exam or scores from the specialized aptitude test combined with scores from the talent test.
