Timely evaluation and experience drawing after each selection season and calling citizens to join the army is one of the important factors to ensure the quality of Lam Dong province's military recruitment work, which is highly appreciated by Military Region 7.

• MANY RESULTS ACHIEVED

In the 2025 military recruitment season, Lam Dong province has achieved many important results. These results were achieved because the Party committees and authorities at all levels focused on leading and directing the organization of the selection and recruitment of citizens to ensure strictness, seriousness and high responsibility. Colonel Vy Thanh Minh - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command (CHQS) informed: The Provincial Military Command (the standing agency of the Provincial Military Service Council) coordinated with relevant departments, branches and sectors to guide and inspect localities in implementing the 2025 military recruitment process to ensure compliance with the Law on Military Service.

In the organization of military service registration, the Military Command at all levels has advised the People's Committee at the same level to deploy the organization of registration to each commune, ward, town, high school, and continuingeducation center in the area for all male citizens aged 17 years and older. The registration results were 10,624 citizens, accounting for 0.78% of the total population. The work of checking the source and organizing the review of standards for military service was carried out strictly and in accordance with regulations.

The Military Service Health Examination Council at the local level was established with the right composition, sufficient specialists and organized health examinations according to plan. The health classification results were publicly posted at the headquarters of the People's Committee at the commune level. The Military Service Council at the commune level organized elections, openly, solicited opinions from the people from villages, residential groups, and mass organizations; prioritized the selection of citizens with health class 1, class 2; good politics , ethics, high education, secondary, college, university; cadres, civil servants, children of cadres; official party members to call for military service. The implementation of elections, openness, and democracy has created consensus among the people.

Lam Dong was assigned the target of recruiting 1,200 citizens to join the army and adding 2 female citizens who were eligible to join the army. The troops were assigned to the following units: Army Academy (Ministry of National Defense); Electronic Warfare Brigade 98 (General Staff); Engineer Brigade 293 (Engineer Corps); Infantry Division 302, Artillery Brigade 75, Air Defense Brigade 77, Military School of Military Region 7, Guard Battalion 180 (Military Region 7); Infantry Regiment 994 (Provincial Military Command). When the citizen enlistment dossiers were completed in accordance with regulations, localities organized the issuance of gathering orders at communes, wards and towns. The total number of orders issued was 1,260 young people (including: Official 1,202 young people; reserve 58 young people, reaching the reserve rate of 4.8%). As a result, 1,202/1,202 citizens were assigned to join the army. Of these, 29 were party members (23 were official party members, reaching 1.91%). Health category 1 and 2 were 740 citizens, accounting for 61.5%; health category 3 was 462 citizens, accounting for 38.5%.

Colonel Vy Thanh Minh commented: In 2025, Lam Dong province completed 100% of the assigned targets for the selection and calling of citizens to join the army, in which the criteria for technical expertise increased compared to 2024. The military camp and the military handover ceremony were organized solemnly, meaningfully, and safely by localities, creating an exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere, connecting the military and people, honoring and encouraging young people to join the army.

• PERFORMING TASKS IN THE NEW SITUATION

In order to effectively implement the Ministry of National Defense's request to strengthen measures to improve the quality of selection and call for citizens to join the army in the new situation, comrade Nguyen Ngoc Phuc - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested localities, agencies and units to continue to raise awareness of the whole society, especially the young generation, about the obligations and honor of citizens when joining the army, strictly comply with the Law on Military Service. At the same time, urgently consolidate and perfect the Military Service Councils at all levels in accordance with the arrangement of government levels and administrative agencies. Strengthen the role of Party committees, authorities and grassroots organizations to ensure publicity, transparency and fairness in selection, especially for children of state officials and civil servants.

To ensure the success of the 2026 military recruitment season, the Provincial Military Service Council has also developed a plan for implementation. In particular, propaganda work is carried out in advance in many forms to bring the Law on Military Service to each family and citizen of military age. Promote the combined political strength of departments, branches and organizations in implementing military recruitment in 2026; organize registration, re-examination and approval of standards for all citizens of military age to continue improving the quality of military recruitment to ensure a complete military recruitment, reaching 100% of the target. Coordinate well in the work of background verification and health examination for young people joining the army. Effectively carry out the work of reviewing standards; organize elections, publicly implement democracy at the grassroots level from the village and residential group levels to create consensus among the people, ensuring objectivity, democracy and social justice.

In particular, with the motto of “firm rear, solid frontline”, localities focus on doing well the work of military rear policies and social policies for families with soldiers in service to motivate and encourage young people to enthusiastically volunteer to join the army and feel secure in carrying out their duties. Along with that, proactively coordinate with agencies and businesses in the area to create jobs for citizens after completing their military service; prioritize the selection, training and creation of local and grassroots cadres.
